From sketch to reality: Cool office amenities that foster community.

Sketch to reality. Office design

We love creating spaces. But more than being excited about the end result, we highly value the process behind the amazing amenities that our clients envision for their employees.

In this post, we'd like to share a recent project where our design methodology was successfully implemented and resulted in a collaborative space that our client, CI&T, now calls home.

The Challenge

CI&T wanted a "hub" space at the heart of two interconnected building wings. They were looking for a space where employees could connect, have a conversation, hold an all-hands meeting, or simply sit and enjoy the beautiful views.

The Process

coDesign likes to follow a design framework where each decision is driven by the space's function and how the user will interact with it. Given the location of this space, it was paramount to keep it open, flexible and ensure that the views weren't obstructed with our design solution. With this in mind, we began at exploring multiple approaches:

Ideation

We begin by understanding the multiple functions of the space.

Some of the initial sketches depict a mix of solutions with ancillary furniture, millwork benching, and nooks.

Development

The perimeter benching solution checked all the boxes so we moved on to select materials and layer further detailing.

Execution

At this phase, we connect with our network to refine all the details and get things ready for production.

WoodTech & coDesign collaboration

Completion

The space allowed for a fairly large crowd to gather in the area, for smaller groups to have a space to chat, or for an individual to sit and relax in a space full of natural light.

At coDesign, no project is a small project. We truly believe in the wonders of solving challenges through systematic thinking and would love to make your space the best it can be. Let us know how we can help.
